Silver Linings Adoptable Dogs – Onyx
Onyx is a 2 year old Bernedoodle who can be adopted as an only dog or with his brother Sable.
This breed needs experienced folks who have owned large breed dogs before. Bernedoodles are strong and willful, but eager to please and easily trainable. Silver Linings Rescue has paid for and will complete Basic Foundation training before this dog is adopted. This will include Auto Check-in, Sit, Down, Stay & Free, Leave It, Drop It, Recall (Come), Heel, and Off & Up. Onyx is UTD on shots and neutered.
Both dogs have been in doggy day care and done well with all sizes of dogs, but we don’t know about their tolerance for cats. A home with young children is not recommended. They aren’t aggressive, but they simply don’t know how big they are and could easily knock down a young child (or even an unsuspecting adult!) over.
We require a home visit and meet and greet with all members of the family. A fenced yard is also required.
Onyx & Sable can be observed during training on Mondays at noon. We encourage any interested parties to fill out an adoption application so we can fast track an opportunity to attend training class to start bonding with the dog.
